Omega Rho's general meeting:  March, and Beyond

On March 6, 4 PM (MT), a general meeting was organized by Dr. Stephanie Robinson, Regional Associate Dean of Academics. It was well attended by our Campus Deans, SIGMA Omega Rho’s campus counselors, board members, and student representative.

So, to start off with, Omega Rho warmly embraces its new campus counselors.

As Sigma continues its pursuit of excellence in nursing scholarship, leadership, and service worldwide – Omega Rho is excited to announce that it will be inducting new members into the International Honor Society of Nursing.  Come March 20, at 4:30 P, PST (5:30 PM , MT), SIGMA-Omega Rho will formally accept  members from 5 states into the honor society!  Our organization is proud to welcome its new members from Idaho, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah. Dr. Christy Hennessy, National Dean of Unitek, will deliver her keynote address for the said event.
For March and beyond, Ms. Sharon Wheeler, SIGMA – Omega Rho secretary, emphasizes that there are so many good things happening, and in store, for Omega Rho.  One of which is the organization’s service project for the month of  April which focuses around  the UN’s Global Goals. For our chapter, zero hunger, and equity and justice, are the focus of attention.
Something to look forward to, Dr. Robinson also announces during the meeting that she, and Dr. Julie Chew of Utah Tech will be representing Omega Rho to the 47th Biennial Convention on 11-15 November 2023 in San Antonio, Texas, USA.  This is a great opportunity to present our success as we heed Sigma's organizational call: Be Bold.  The live eevent will be followed by a virtual one on 28-30 November.  Deadline of registration for the virtual event is on 20 November.  For more information , please check Sigma events.
Ms. Wheeler also encourages members to constantly update on the professional front by utilizing the resources available for nurses.  There are webinars awarded NCPD contact hours available to nurses, and also webinars to get our nursing students ready for their NCLEX examination.
Going beyond, the entire leadership of Omega Rho 567 asks for the general membership to be bold as we uphold the honor society.
